MSK Zilina picked up a favorable 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Champions League tie with Litex Lovech of Bulgaria. MSK Zilina’s Tomas Matjan scored in the 65 minute to give the Slovakian side the lead, however, Litex equalized in the 88th minute. The second leg will be played on Aug. 4th in Slovakia. This is MSK Zilina's second appearance in four years in the UEFA Champions League, with the side bowing out in the second round in 2007-08.
